Boresaver Ultra C is added to the water in the bore casing and screen directly. The crystals settle through the water in the bore casing, dissolving and loosening the encrustation as they go. For the best results, Boresaver Ultra C should be added in increments over a period of 30 minutes to allow slow but effective dissolution through the water in the column.

It Is So Simple to Use Boresaver Ultra C

1. Add the Ultra C to the bore.
2. Wait 30 minutes for it to dissolve.
3. Recycle the bore for 60 to 90 minutes.
4. Add 50 to 100L of water to bore.
5. Turn off and let stand for 12 to 24 hours.
6. Pump to waste for 30 minutes after water runs clear.

Why using Chlorine to treat IRB is so ineffective
For several reasons, routine chemical disinfectants that effectively wipe out other bacteria are only modestly successful against iron bacteria.

Iron bacteria build up in thick layers, each forming a slime around bacteria cells that keeps disinfectants from penetrating beyond the surface cells.

In addition, mineral oil dissolved in water can absorb much of the disinfectants before they reach the bacteria cells.

Chemical reactions occur far slower at the cool temperatures common in wells, and bacteria cells need a long exposure to the chemical for treatment to be effective.

To clean pumps, sprinklers etc use Ultra C:

1. Drop parts into a solution of 10% Ultra C to water.
2. Agitate part in solution.
3. Let stand until clean.
4. You can reuse this solution many times.
