| Iron Oxide Reside Treatment
Boresaver Liquid is added to bores where iron residue builds-up
in the pump, screen, headwork's and reticulation system. It is important
that the system is first cleaned with Boresaver Ultra C before treatment
with Boresaver Liquid commences.
Boresaver Liquid is added to the water in the bore casing and screen
directly. The fine crystals settle through the water in the bore
casing, loosening the iron oxide deposited in the last week.
Instructions
Shake bottle of Boresaver Liquid for 5 seconds. The recommended amount
of Boresaver Liquid concentrate should be mixed with 10L of water
then poured into the bore casing, preferably through an access pipe
of 13 to 19 mm diameter reaching to just above the submersible pump.
In deep bores where pump is some depth below static water level the
access pipe should reach to a few metres above the pump. Boresaver
settles down through the water in the bore to depths of 20-30 metres.
The bore should not be pumped for 8-24 hours after treatment to allow
for settling. Overnight is convenient time. This will depend on the
pump placement and volume of water in the casing. Maintenance dosing
should be done weekly or twice weekly depending on the severity of
the oxide problem and the application of the water.

To clean pumps, sprinklers etc use Ultra C:
- Drop parts into a solution of 10% Ultra C to water.
- Agitate part in solution.
- Let stand 24 hours or until clean.
- You can reuse this solution many times.
How do I know it's I.R.B.?
- Slime in the headwork's and pipe
- Cloudy, rusty water, colour comes and goes
- Bad smell
- Reducing water flow
- Slime on the screen, casing and pump
- Slime in the reticulation system
- Blocked drippers and sprinklers
