For Fluoride Removal from Water
Activate Aluminium Oxide

E.P.A. approved method for the removal of fluoride (and arsenic) from drinking water.

ABA 2000Fl has a surface area of 350M²/g of material which allows more efficient removal of fluoride ions.

Typical reduction of fluoride in New Zealand municipal supplies is >98%. Tests conducted in NZ show no leaching of Aluminium from the cartridge.

Capacity 2,500 litres on >Bb graded water*

  • Max. 5 lpm
  • No leaching of Aluminium
  • For >98% Flouride Removal
  • Also reduces Arsenic III >90%

Removes

  • Fluoride (Arsenic)
  • some organics

* with adequate pre-filtration, this capacity can be meet on all municipal supplies

DI-2

Aqualine De-Ionising Cartridge

The DI-2 is a non regenerable industrial and general purpose deionisation polishing cartridge designed to provide extremely low TDS water (low conductivity) for analytical and general laboratory use and may be also used in autoclaves. The high quality semiconductor grade ion exchange resins will deliver high purity water with a minimum TOC background.

The DI-2 is constructed totally from FDA grade materials and media. It is primarily designed as a polisher for low TDS feed water. It can be used in a recirculating mode or as a post RO scavenger.

Down flow operation is preferred. Intermittent up-flow may cause bed separation and quality failure.

  • Size : 9¾" - fits all standard 10" filter housings
  • Pre-filter : 100µ reticulated poly foam
  • Media : Semiconductor grade mixed ion exchange resin (1:1 equivalent ratio)
  • Post-filter : 20µ spun bonded polypropylene
  • Max. flwo rate : 1 lpm
  • pH Range : 0-14
  • Capacity : 28,500 mgs*

Divide 28,500 by the TDS of the feed water to obtain litres throughput before exhaustion

* - Lab tested on 10ppm feed to 10 megohm break

DI-HP

Semiconductor-grade Resin
Cation/Anion Resin Filter

High capacity, high grade de-ionizing filter for use in pharmaceutical, medical, laboratory, etc, applications.
  • Capacity : 17,500 milligrams

Cation, R-SO3-Na+ Anion, R4N+OH-

Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor
with Taste & Odour Reduction

Polyphoshate Hardness Sequester
Food Grade molecular dehydrated hexametaphosphate,
with Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)

Scaling & corrosion are the result of lime (hard water) and iron reacting with metal in pipes and equipment, forming a solid (scale or rust). Polyphosphate solves this problem by holding these contaminants in suspension.

While it does not actually remove the calcium, magnesium or iron, it does stop it forming scale deposits on pipe linings and heating elements.

Activated carbon removes organics, pesticides, tastes and odours.

  • Capacity : 6,500 litres or 6 months

Note: After water has evaporated away, calcium and magnesium concentrations will be left behind creating visible white streaks; especially on glassware, windows and washed vehicles. Full water softening units are required to REMOVE the concentrations from the water.

MCV

Microbial Check Valve
Iodine Resin Biocide Delivery Unit

The MCV cartridge achieves greater than 99.9% reduction of bacteria and cysts (Giardia, Crypto., etc).

In fact in certified tests, the MCV+ achieved a 99.9999% reduction in E.Coli bacteria.

Originally developed by Umpqua Research in 1976 for providing microbiological control of drinking water for NASA space flights, the MCV cartridge is a spinoff of this research.

The MCV works by first imparting residual elemental iodine into the water on demand. (Iodine is a powerful bacteriacide with none of the by-products that can occur with chlorine or bromide)

Water within the cartridge then flows over an activated carbon bed which reduces tastes, odours, organics & pesticides. Activated carbon also reduces the residual iodine to iodide which is then removed by a bed of iodex media.

Finally a 1µ post filter traps >99.9% of cysts. (Iodine will kill cysts but the contact time is usually about 30 minutes - impractical for an inline filter such as the MCV)

  • Max. flow rate : 2 lpm
  • Water temperature : 2 - 30°C
  • pH range : 5 - 9
  • Capacity : 5,000 litres

Anion Exchange Resin
(A-520E)

Purolite A -520E is a macroporous strong base anion resin which is specifically designed for the removal of nitrates from water for potable processes. The macroporous matrix and special ion exchange group functionality imparts ideal nitrate selectivity.

Typical reduction of nitrate based on 2 litres per minute throughput is 90 - 95%.

Capacity 8,000 milligrams.

Resins are regenerable using common salt.

  • Size : 10" x 2"
  • Pre-Filter : 50 µ
  • Media : Purolite A-520E Anion
  • Post-Filter :
  • Max. flow rate : 3 lpm
